Am I the only person who was vaguely disappointed that Lisbet was finally vindicated through the system rather than her own efforts? I had the feeling that the Robin Hood / anti establishment type character that she was would have organised things her own way, not the way of the establishment.

That said I thought it was a good film, although the first one of the three was definitely the best. Are we going to think about showing the English versions next? I don't know if I am keen on that or not.

Describe what you mean by poor sound. Do you mean there was crackling, or was was it muffled? That would help us to check this out. We need to have the information so that we can make sure we don't have any technical issues with our equipment. I know that the DVD stated that sound was "Mono", and it is an old film, so if it was duplicated from the original old movie with the sound of the day, it may be simply that it was indeed old sound.

Much better than I expected. It managed to give equal balance to the two main story lines in the book and remain true to them. The atmosphere of the Deep South was apparent throughout - sometimes reminiscent of 'The Heat of the Night'. Although much had to be cut from the book in order not to have a film 6 hours long, this was not noticeable and some of the dialogue was lifted verbatim.

Just a shame that the sound quality was not always good at times - I don't know whether this was because it was an old film, or an accoustic problem of PEC or our equipment, but it did not spoil my enjoyment - a truly great film of a truly great book.

This is the final one in the trilogy folks. Start spreading the news as old Sinatra once said. Now is the time to read the books again and see if you can get up to date by the time we show the film.

I gather that the book is very popular in schools. I've seen the film, but never read the book.

Am I the only person who enjoyed this film? I guess if you are a big internet user, which I am, then the story of Facebook and how it became so big so quickly is interesting. I do agree that it was difficult to understand what was being said as they talked so fast.
